About

Herve Pelletier

Before relocating to VT more than 30 years ago,  Herve had worked as a Boston-based editorial and advertising photographer for a variety of clients, including New Balance, Dexter, Wang (that's dating ourselves!) American Airlines, Inc. Magazine, the Charles Hotel, Boston Magazine, and the MIT Sloan School of Management, among others.

So the wedding photography story unfolds like this: one very snowy January afternoon about 25 years ago, Herve got a call from a friend who worked at the Old Tavern (since renamed The Grafton Inn) in Grafton, VT, asking with him to head out into the storm, load up a roll of TRi-X into his Nikon F4, and grab a few shots of a couple that had just eloped from NJ. As a Grafton resident, it was easy enough to trundle down the snowy driveway and meet the just-married couple at the Inn.

Carriage driver Harry Wilbur and his two sturdy draft horses stood at the ready, with wool blankets and a couple of cups of fortified hot cocoa. We had an enjoyable spin or two around the village, with heavy snow falling, shot a couple of rolls of black and white film (yes, film!)... classic VT.  The rest, well, you know...

A bunch of years and many, many weddings later, Herve's still at it... working hard to create memorable images for many wedding, commercial, and editorial clients, including Michael Millard's Froggy Bottom Guitars, Will Ackerman's Imaginary Road Studio, the Boston Pops, and the NY Times, among others.

He’s shot weddings all over the northeast from his base in Vermont, and would be thrilled to document your day!
